Darji Online
Multi-Channel Commerce Platform · Ajmer, Rajasthan · Live since 2024
Client: Local2Global Mart Pvt. Ltd. · Brand: Darji Online · Industry: Handcrafted Fashion & Home Goods
Darji Online is an ecommerce platform supporting 180+ rural women artisans from villages around Ajmer, Rajasthan — including Nasirabad, Pushkar, Beawar, Kekri, Kishangarh, and Masuda. Run by Local2Global Mart Pvt. Ltd. and supported by Local2Global Foundation, the brand sells handcrafted totes, hobo bags, jute bags, embroidered home linens, school uniforms, and government/corporate-branded apparel — all made by hand.
Section 01
The challenge
Darji Online's original site was a generic, template-based storefront that couldn't keep pace with how the business actually operated. Orders came in through multiple channels — the website, WhatsApp, phone calls, walk-ins — with no unified way to track them. There was no phase-wise order visibility, no infrastructure to manage fulfillment at scale, and no mechanism to grow sales beyond direct traffic. For a brand whose entire value proposition rests on storytelling and trust in artisan craftsmanship, the platform needed to feel as considered as the products themselves.
Section 02
What we built
- A unified commerce backbone. A full storefront and admin system bringing every order — online, offline, and marketplace — into a single view. Offline orders placed by phone or WhatsApp can now be logged, tracked, and fulfilled with the same rigor as an online checkout. Bulk label and invoice generation, Excel-based reporting, and Shiprocket integration for shipping and AWB tracking give the operations team tools that scale with order volume.
- Multi-channel reach. The catalogue extends across Amazon India, Flipkart, and CSC Grameen eStore — a government-backed rural digital commerce network — with channel-specific pricing and listing logic tailored to each platform's requirements.
- A growth engine, not just a storefront. A two-tier Distributor Lead Generation & Commission system lets anyone sign up as a distributor and earn commission on sales, while referral partner organizations — including Sodes, whose Village Level Entrepreneurs work directly in these communities — earn ongoing commission on every distributor they bring into the network. Configurable commission rates per partner, verified onboarding, and a distributor sample kit turn the platform from a place to buy products into a mechanism for recruiting the network that sells them.
- Visibility built in. A Google Analytics 4 dashboard sits inside the admin panel itself, showing order concentration by state and city alongside website traffic.

The outcome
Darji Online now runs as a true multi-channel commerce operation: 46+ products live across five sales channels, a distributor network extending its reach into rural communities through partner organizations, and an operations team with real visibility into every order regardless of where it originated. The platform has become the foundation for what's next — including a proposed native mobile app for both customers and vendors, extending the same backend into a fully mobile-first experience.
